Donnie was our St. Agnes HOOD paperboy 7 days a week at 4:00 AM. If a name was mentioned, you could bet it was on his route. He always knew who paid on time. He carried that route a long time. Love that story. He had an amazing life. Love, Patty Gorman Downey SM 63!
Don was such a kind hearted and generous man. He treated Jean's friends and I am one of them from St. Mary's class of 1963 to many dinners, lunches and Texas hospitality, He gave us many fond memories to cherish and ALMOST 'love the Dallas Cowboys" more than our own AZ Cardinals.
Open up those pearly gates for Don, and turn on the TV. He will be the best sports fan heaven has ever had.

What an amazing man, what an incredible life, will never forget you.
Don was a most special boss, leader and mentor. When I joined his team, he would often take me aside, and let me know what his expectations were of me, and whether I was meeting them or not. His year end dinners and awards are something I am most proud of, as to Don, nothing was more important than service to the associates, shareholders and business partners.
Most importantly, when you were with Don (and Jean), you always felt special, whether a visit to their home, Don and I Christmas shopping for our wives in Richardson, or a dinner with wine in New York or Charlotte. His ability to act kindly but maintain the respect of a leader is legendary.
In my now long career, he remains as one of the most positive examples of a mentor and coach.
Rest in Peace, Don, and thank you for all the work and life lessons you taught me.
