Donald Egbert Page's Obituary
Donald E. Page was born October 3, 1931 in Dallas, Texas and passed away June 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Egbert Page, his mother, Bonnie Nell Page and his younger sister, Sallie Rosalyn Walters. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara Page, his daughter, Andra Page Heimer, his two granddaughters, Allison Page Heimer and Madeline Rachelle Heimer, and sister Gwenda Kidd. Services will be at 1pm on Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with burial to following Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7-8:30pm on Wednesday at Restland. Don graduated Texas A & M University in 1951 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a 2nd – 1st Lt. in the Army and served as Trial Counselor at Fort Hood. After being discharged he was employed by Southwestern Bell and then AT&T for 34 years. His last assignment was Division Staff, Parsippany, NJ. He was President of Telephone Pioneers and the Rotary Club and was active in Lions Club. He worked with Sara at Certified Funding until they sold the business and both retired. He used to joke Sara was the President and he was the janitor. Don and Sara were fortunate to travel frequently. His favorite trips were to China, Africa, Greek Islands and Paris. One of his favorite things to do was to brag on his two perfect granddaughters We want to thank our with many dear friends who have so supportive during Don’s illness.
