Donald Ray Prater's Obituary
Beloved husband of Betty, went home to be with his Lord on August 23, 2008 after a lengthy battle with various illnesses. Born 11/17/34, in Prairie Hill, TX to J.R. Prater and Odell Shomes, who preceded him in death. Member and Deacon of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church; Member of Dallas Lodge #760, AF&AM, Dallas Commandery #6, Dallas Chapter #47 Royal Arch Mason, Scottish Rite, Dal-Cliff #574 and Edwin J. Kiest #959 Order of Eastern Star and the American Bowlery Congress. He retired from Arco Oil and Gas after 23 years of service. He was a prolific bowler, and bowled everday and 2 and 3 nights a week until his health failed. He bowled two 300 perfect games and one 299. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years and their miniture Schnauzer, Hawk.
