SELF, DONALD JAMES of Richardson, TX , born December 18, 1947 and passed away July 25, 2011 with his family by his side. Preceded in death by his father, Don Self and survived by his mother, Mary Self; his wife, Daphne Self; son, Scott Self and his wife Jenny, daughter, Heather Schultz and husband Josh; grandchildren, Logan and Jocob Schultz and Katelyn and Addison Self; sister, Gerry Lamb and husband Carl; brother, Rick Self and wife, Elise and extended family. Don grew up spending time on his grandparent’s farm in Olney, TX. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed an active life and loved traveling, gardening and golf. He was a valued employee of Entact LLC of Grapevine, TX as Health and Safety director. Visitation is from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, July 29 at First United Methodist Church of Rowlett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to NMCCH.org.
