Donald N. Test, Jr.'s Obituary
Donald N. Test, Jr. was born September 20, 1919 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald N. Test and Marian Porter Test and passed away on July 13, 2016. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1940 and from Harvard Business in 1942. He was a captain in the Army in World War II and served in the China/ Burma theatre- Kunming, China. He began his business career in Abilene, Texas in 1946 with General Automotive Parts NAPA and remained with the company for 46 years. He was a longtime member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for many years. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, and one son, Dr. Donald N. Test III and his wife Helen of San Antonio, one grandson, Dr. Richard Test and his wife Abigail of San Antonio, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by two sons, Henry Test and William Test, and one grandson, Robert Test. The family would like to thank Valoria Spurling for her loving and devoted care to Donald during the last months of his life. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Vanderbilt University Medical Center Development Attention: Sarah Reynolds 2525 West End Ave. suite 450 Nashville, Tenn. 37203 or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
