Donna Andrews' Obituary
Donna Marie (Young) Andrews of Richardson, Texas passed away after a lengthy illness on October 23, 2011 surrounded by her family. Donna was born on June 21, 1931 to Philip and Edith Brackett Young of Blairstown, Iowa. She married Harold Dean Andrews and lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where Harold worked for Collins Radio / Rockwell. They were transferred to Richardson in 1973. Donna worked for Sears for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Dean in 1985, her brother Robert “Bud” Young and sister Linda Young of Iowa City, Iowa, and brother James P. Young of Albuquerque, N.M. She is survived by her children Lynn Fox, Wendy Swim, and Cristi Ryan, son-in-laws Phil Swim and Kevin Ryan, and grandchildren Aaron Fox, Lindsay Swim, Taylor Swim, Stephanie Ryan and Jake Ryan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandma and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 28 at Restland Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to make a donation to a favorite charity.
