Dora Dell Minyard's Obituary
Dora Dell Minyard, 88, of Irving, Texas passed away on February 2, 2021 in Irving, Texas. She was born on May 23, 1932 to Eugene Clifton Farris and Daisy Ann Camp in Boswell, Oklahoma. She married Cleo Minyard on March 27, 1948 in Paris, Texas. She was a Dental Office Manager for 50 years. Dora was born a raised on a farm in Boswell, Oklahoma. She was 1 of 6 children that were no strangers to hard work on the farm. Dora developed a strong work ethic because of this and always worked 2 (sometimes 3) jobs. She worked as the Elevator Attendant at the Medical Arts building in Downtown Dallas. This is where she met her future bosses-colleagues and lifelong friends Milton Poladnik and Francis Reed in 1955. This being her lifelong career as the Shipping and Receiving Manager of Reed & Associates Dental Laboratory. She loved fishing and later developed a love for playing bingo and the slots. Her children, grandchildren and greats were her life. She spent her life focused on taking care of others. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed interacting with any and all people. She was known to doctors as a walkin miracle and tough as nails. Dora will be missed, but is enjoying her new home where she is strong and healthy. Dora is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Ann Wilson of Spring, Texas and Angela Farley of Irving, Texas; sosn, Jeff Minyard of RIce, Texas and Steven Minyard of Points, Texas; sister, Virginia Jones of Trinidad, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and many great friends and colleagues.
