Doretha Fields' Obituary
Doretha Fields was born on October 6, 1923 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Chester and Willie Mae Fields. In her earlier years she attended Mt. Misgah Baptist Church, where she was an usher.
She received her education in the White Rock Community Schools.
Doretha loved to cook and loved children. Her home was the place to be for special occasions. Everyone loved her food. She also loved spending her birthdays with family. Later in life she was an independent woman. She purchased her own home and lived independently until her health started to decline in 2018. She also loved fashion and dressed very stylish. Her choice of clothes and shoes were classic and timeless.
She enjoyed spending her weekends with her sisters, other family, and friends playing Spades, Bid Whist and eating good food.
Doretha will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, two sons, Billy Clinton and Charlie Wright Jr., one brother, and three sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories: 5 grandchildren, Pamela Sim, Nita Nickels, Sharon Norton (Fred), Fredrick Clinton, and Tonya Wright. Ten great-grandchildren, six 6 great-great grandchildren, two special nieces, Imogene Favors and Sharon Melton and a host of family and friends.
