Doris Mata Castillo's Obituary
Doris was born following her twin sister in Fort Morgan, Colorado to Joe Mata and Elsie Laudreth. At 3 years old, she was raised by Refugio and Soledad Gonzales at a farm and attended school in Fort Morgan, Nebraska.
Doris met and married Luis Castillo at age 17 in Ogalala, Nebraska before eventually settling in Corpus Christi, Texas to raise their family of six children. She was an excellent seamstress sewing all clothing for her children, a wonderful cook, great neighbor, friend, and completed her G.E.D with high grades while being a mom at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.
She was a Woman of God in attendance with her husband and family at Primera Iglesia Bautista led by Bro. Rudy Hernandez. Her husband Luis became an ordained deacon at Primera and 10 years later the Lord moved them to Dallas, Texas. She loved being a mom, a wife and taking care of her family, friends and home.
