Mrs Doris E. Choate's Obituary
CHOATE, DORIS ELIZABETH, October 22, 1924 ‘ December 4, 2007. Doris Elizabeth Hanna was born October 22, 1924 to the parents of Paul W. Hanna and Myrtle Horton Hanna at the home of her paternal grandparents, James and Lucinda Choate Hanna in rural Delta County, Texas. She lived in Delta County through her high school years, graduating from Cooper High School in 1941. She attended East Texas State Teachers College (now A&M) in Commerce, Texas. Doris and Clyde N. Choate were married June 2, 1949 and their union produced two outstanding children, Sue and Carl. Doris is survived by Sue Choate and her husband Jerry Bunch of Irving and Carl and Wendy Choate and grandsons Christopher and Cameron also of Irving. Doris became a Christian when she was eleven years old. Her faith sustained her through many bouts of ill health and brought her to a peaceful end of this earthly existence. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother James (Bud) Hanna and his sweet wife Joy as well as her beloved husband of 45 years, Clyde. The family requests charitable contributions in lieu of flowers to the Dallas Stars Foundation at 2601 Avenue of the Stars, Frisco, TX 75034. Visitation will be from 6:00 ‘ 9:00 p.m. on December 7, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on December 8, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
