Doris Jean Duffy's Obituary
Duffy, Doris Jean, age 97, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully on 1/15/2012 at Richardson. She was born on 7-4-1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to her parents, Ralph and Minnie Gilmore. Doris was the one of 5. She married Loyal Duffy in Cleveland Ohio on August 9, 1947. They had 2 children. She attended Ohio University and TWU and graduated in 1977 with a master in education. She was a longtime resident of Richardson, Texas for 49 years and employed by Richardson Public Schools as an English teacher for 20 years. Doris was a member of Community Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling, dance and music. Doris will be remembered by her loving husband and their children Dean Duffy of Anapolis, MD and Craig and Sheila Duffy of Springdale, AR. She is also survived by grandchildren, Neil, Zahra and Eric Duffy. Predeceased in death by her husband Loyal. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11am at Community Christian Church.
