Doris Eileen Folse's Obituary
Doris Eileen Johnston Folse passed on the 28th day of December 2017.Doris was born on the 25th day of November 1929 to Stanley and Isabel Johnston in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.She graduated high school from Springdale High School in 1947 and Duffs-Iron City College in 1949.Doris was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Springdale Pennsylvania chapter for more than 70 years.She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline’s, a choral performance group along with being a founding member of the Richtones. Music has always been magic for Doris. In her early years, she played the piano and organ.Doris retired from Phillip-Morris and from General Electric.In 2007 Doris was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award for volunteering more than 4,000 hours in a two-year span at Methodist Richardson Medical Center.Her family was the “wind beneath her wings”. Doris is survived by: son Ken Folse and family of Plymouth IN, son R. Glenn Folse and his wife Leanne of Richardson, Granddaughter Lauren Folse of OKC, and Grandson Christopher Folse of Dallas along with several nieces and nephews, family and friends.Predeceased by parents Stanley & Isabel Johnston and Brother Thomas Johnston.
