Doris Esther Holmes, 92 of Plano, Texas passed away on January 18, 2018, in Plano of Alzheimer’s. She was born on January 28, 1925, to Reuben Hagarty and Beulah Colby Hagerty in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She married Vance Holmes on June 14, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas.She was a loving wife, mother and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Holmes; son, Stephen Holmes, granddaughter, Amy Daugherty, great-grandchildren Isabelle and Dillon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vance Holmes, and brothers, Robert and Richard Hagarty.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
