Doris A. James' Obituary
JAMES, DORIS ANN, of Richardson, TX, age 83, departed to see her Savior September 21, 2007, at Medical Center of Plano. She was born in Grandview, TX, June 7, 1924 to Ernest and Maggie Hale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Walter James, in 1998, her parents; and her brothers, Derwood, Paul, and N.F. Hale. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tommy Doyle of Snyder, TX, son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy James of Carrollton, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Mendi and Michael Ofczarzak of Caldwell, TX; five grandchildren, Brandi and Casey Doyle, Jason James and wife, Kristin, Kim Bybee and husband Shane, and Brandon Powell; and one great-grandchild, Aaron James. She was a member of the Richardson East Church of Christ for over 50 years where she taught Bible classes and participated in the Care Corps outreach program. Doris was actively involved in the Richardson community serving as a Greeter Hostess for new residents and later as a member of her Neighborhood Crime Watch and Citizens Patrol. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Richardson East Church of Christ Care Corps, 1504 E. Campbell, Richardson, TX 75081.
