Doris Laverne LaQuey's Obituary
Doris Laverne, Huffstutler, age 93, of Amarillo, Texas, was born Doris, Laverne Huffstutler in Dallas, Texas to L. D. and Sallie Huffstutler., And passed away on October 30, 2025.
She married Lawrence Duard LaQuey, “Buddy” on June 20, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. She was a housewife, most of her adult life, but worked in later years as a secretary in order to put her two children through college.
She became a Christian early in life and was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church. Her family was so important and she loved and honored them her entire life. She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. LaQuey, her son, Jeffrey Mark LaQuey, her parents L. D. and Sallie Huffstutler , her brothers, Truett and Duffie Huffstutler, and her sister, Mary Helen Faulkner.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa LaQuey of Amarillo, grandchildren, Justin, Calvert, Ashley Quillin, Christopher Calvert and Meagan LaQuey, along with six great grandchildren.
