Doris Ann McCraw's Obituary
MCCRAW, DORIS ANN of Allen, TX, passed away at age 71 on December 2, 2009. She was born March 14, 1938 in McKinney, TX. She was a loving wife and helpmate to her husband, J.R. McCraw for 51 years. Doris was an executive administrative assistant with Texas Instruments and retired after 33 years of service. After retiring, she utilized her creativity in landscaping and gardening. She always made it a priority to spend time with family and friends. She loved visiting at weddings, baby showers, holidays and family gatherings – collecting and sharing stories. Doris and her family had many adventures whether traveling or camping and fishing at the lake. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and giving them many happy memories that warm their hearts today. She invested in the lives of others by generously giving gifts, cooking food, listening, giving advice or just spending time with someone. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, J.R. McCraw of Allen, TX; her sister, Dorothy Aycock of Melissa, TX; her daughter, Ulonda Rogers of Bryan, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Bill Abbott of Katy, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Kirk Wadsack of Kottweiller-Schwanden, Germany; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other beloved family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eula Wolfe Baker; father, Roy Evans; brother, Harold Wayne Evans and daughter, Sheri Lynn McCraw. Services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, December 7, 2009 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00PM, Sunday at Restland Funeral Home.
