Doris Jean Watson's Obituary
Watson, Doris Jean Doris Jean (Barbee) Watson was born on July 18, 1929 to Nellie and Henry Crabb in Soper Oklahoma. She was one of 10 children and grew up in Oklahoma. Her family moved to Califonia in 1943 where she married Harvey F. Barbee in August of 1946. They moved to Locust, North Carolina in 1954 and had 2 children, Terry and Jerry Barbee. The family then relocated to Texas in 1965, after their divorce Doris remarried in 1967 to Samuel Watson Doris enjoyed many hobbies and was an active member of FUMC of Frisco, her prayer group and the Wesley Class. Doris is survived by her daughter. Terry Williams of Frisco, daughter-in-law, Diane Barbee of Carrollton, three stepchildren Ron & Rick Watson, and Sondra Nation, 4 grandchildren Eric Williams, Karen Adams, Shelly Clark, and Jeremy Barbee; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and I brother – Dorothy I-Helton, Texas, Florence Ammons and Ray Crabb in California. A celebration of the life of our beloved Doris J Watson will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Frisco on Fri, July 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately at Restland Memorial Park in the Court of Meditation. She will be laid to rest with her late husband, Sam Watson. If you wish, memorial donations may be made to FUMC of Frisco Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
