ort Worth- Doris Yehle,89, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, September 23, 2009. Funeral: 10:00a.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Rd. Dallas, Texas 75243 Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Doris was born January 6, 1920 to Hector and Grace McNair. She married KeithYehle in November of 1942 and supported his career in the Air Force for 20 years. Retirement brought them to Dallas in 1964 where they began a lifetime of service with Chapel Hills Presbyterian church. Doris was an elder in the church and a servant in the community. She volunteered tirelessly in elementary schools and in 2003 was honored as the Intergenerational Volunteer for the state of Texas. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Hazel Poole and husband, Keith Yehle. Her big smile and welcoming arms will be missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express gratitude to the dedicated staff of Colonial Gardens for their unwavering care and compassion. Survivors: Her, Cindy Huffman daughter (Jacob) grandsons Kyle and Brett (Samantha), great granddaughters, Emily, Bailey and Kyla, niece, Linda Poole and nephews Larry and Jon Poole.
