I miss you. I wish I had made that blanket with you and visited more. I remember you letting me help pick up pins and needles from your sewing room. And letting me have Blackberries from the bush near the alley. You were and will always be a great women in my eyes.
I will always remember you letting us have your Blackberries from the alley bush. And letting me help collect all the safety pins from the floor after you sewed a blanket up. I wish I had visited more. Miss you Mrs. Keele.
Hi-First of all I would like to say that I am sorry for your loss and the tribute was beautiful. I just lost my mom April 19, 2009 as well in Houston. I live a couple of hours from Dallas on Lake Palestine. Dorotha's husband, Walton David was the grandson of my great grandmother's sister Blanch Shanks Keele. Anyway, I was wondering if I could have some of your pictures emailed to me. I have done genealogy for a long time, and pictures mean a lot to me. If you or any of your family are interested in Blanch's side of the family, I will be glad to email you my information. I understand that when Jerry married Ida, she insisted that Blanch's name never be mentioned again. Does anybody have any pictures of Blanch? Again, sorry for your loss.
This was a fun outing for us in 2008. Reta, Dorotha and I (Sharon) met Laura and her mother Donna for lunch.
