Dorothea Juanita Jahns' Obituary
JAHNS, DOROTHEA JUANITA Born June 24, 1921 in Altus, OK and passed away August 16, 2011 in Denton, TX. Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Jahns. She is survived by her step daughter, Betty and Jake Sauerwein and family; grandson, Harvey Thomas Cox and fami8ly; granddaughter, Patricia Randall and family; nephew, Max Miller and family; great grandson, Harvey William Cox and family and great granddaughter, Hollie Simmons and family and sister-in-law, Gwen Miller. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren. She was a pioneer in the female work force and began her optical career with TSO which later became Pearle Vision. She trained opticians on their state law optical business requirements throughout the United States for many years. She retired, with honors, from Pearle Vision. She was an active member of Park Cities Baptist Church. Dorothea will be remembered by her willingness to help others and her beautiful smile. She will be missed by family and friends. Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3:30PM, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM, Friday, August 19, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas, TX.
