Dorothy Irwin Baker's Obituary
Dorothy Irwin Baker, born August 10, 1920, left this earth on November 23,2010 to join in Heaven her parents Ellis and Addie Underwood, brother Lyndel Underwood and her husband of forty years, Bill Irwin. She is survived by her husband, Bob Baker of Fruita, CO, her son, Howie Irwin and his wife, Judy, of Dallas, grandson Mike Irwin and his wife, Susan, of Hickory Creek, granddaughter Michelle Irwin of Dallas and two great grandsons Julian and Miles Irwin of Hickory Creek. Dorothy was born and raised in rural Kentucky and by her recollection she had moved 39 times, lived in some 20 states and found a church home at each dwelling place. During her life she had a passion for fishing, amassed numerous trophies in both golf and tennis, had several bridge master points and many, many dear friends. She cherished life, lived it to its fullest, and was most happy when surrounded by friends and relatives. She was a devout Christian, a beloved mother, granny, wife and homemaker. She would count as her greatest accomplishment having led many people to eternal salvation through a belief in Jesus Christ and helping many others to solidify their faith. A memorial service will be held Saturday ,November 27, 2010 at 3 :00 PM at Restland Abbey Chapel.
