Dorothy Jean Benavides' Obituary
Dorothy Jean Benavides, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2022, in Dallas.
Dorothy was born October 19, 1940 in Dallas, to Robert W and Mary R. Simms. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959 and married Jimmy Benavides in March 1960. She was a well-known dance and vocal teacher for over 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her students and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Earlene Seagreast and grandson Dakota Day.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Boynton and son-in-law, Bob; son, Mark Benavides; grandchildren, Erica King and son-in-law, Josh; Katherine Benavides and Carson Benavides; great-grandchildren, Brooke Zanetti and River Zanetti.
Dorothy will be missed by many, but we know she is in Heaven.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
