Dorothy Ann Benningfield's Obituary
BENNINGFIELD, DOROTHY ANN was born February 17, 1929 in Gober, Texas to D.B. Onstott and Lella Carpenter Onstott. Dorothy passed away Friday, January 10, 2014. Dorothy was a long time member of First Christian Church of Garland and retired from Kraft Foods after 30 years of service. She is survived by daughter Cathy Patterson, son David and wife Mayra Benningfield, daughter Judy and husband Ted Dewoody; 4 grandchildren, Scott and wife Kristy Patterson, Penny Collendrina, Jason Benningfield, Jordan Benningfield and fiancee Hailey Laguarta; 1 great grandson, Joseph Collendrina; sister-in-law Loretta Onstott; sister-in-law Bobbie Blount, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Pete Benningfield, and brother Billy Onstott. The family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held later. She loved to travel and attend sporting events and was a caring, dedicated mother and grandmother. She will be in our hearts forever. The family extends thanks to the staff of Founders Plaza Nursing and Rehab in Wylie, Texas for the care and love given to Dorothy.
