Dorothy Medearis Boto's Obituary
Boto, Dorothy Medearis ~ Passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in Southlake, TX and by the free gift and grace of God entered into the open arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Dorothy was born in Bolivar, Missouri, the daughter of Dr. Thomas and Mara E. Medearis. She had been a Dallas area resident since 1964. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, August Boto and their three children D. August and Cindy Boto, Chuck and Lydia Boto and Jack and Mara Boto Sears, ten grandchildren, Aaron and Tara Boto, Thomas and Julie Boto, Angie Boto, Lucas Boto, Matt Boto, Grace Boto, Joe and Rachel Sears, Dan and Michele Sears, Ben and Julielle Sears, Katy Sears; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marian Merryman and brother-in-law, Robert E. Merryman. Dorothy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and servant of Christ. She was active throughout her life in family and church activities. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Dallas on February 12, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. with a memorial service being held at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program Budget, or the “Building” Fund or Missions Program of First Baptist Church, Dallas, TX.
