Dorothy Patricia Campbell's Obituary
CAMPBELL, DOROTHY PATRICIA born Dorothy Field in Marshall, Texas on January 8, 1918, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her grandson at her side on June 12, 2013. Her sweet spirit brought joy to those who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Dorothy was a military wife for many years, living in Albuquerque, NM during World War II and later in Virginia, Germany, Indiana, Colorado, California, and Turkey until she and her husband retired to Dallas in the early 1970’s. She loved to dance, listen to music, watch birds and people, and was ever curious about others and the world. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Harry Lloyd Campbell; sister, Elizabeth Balkanyi; son-in-law, Bruce Rider. She is survived by her two daughters, Paula Rider and Pamela Campbell, grandson, Ceyhan Haksal. Also surviving her are her sister Inez Field and her brother Elmer Field and his daughters Tracy and Kelly. A graveside ceremony will be held on June 14, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
