Dorothy Jean Miles Carson was born on August 12, 1943, in Waxahachie, Texas and passed away on January 24, 2017, in Dallas, Texas. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Jessie Sr. and Alice Miles; siblings, Allen Miles, Walter Miles, Charles Miles, Leonard Miles, Elliot Miles, Ella (Miles) Allen and grandson Marquell Carson. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Carson; sons, Barnard Carson and Barry Carson; daughter Tammy ( Carson) Johnson; siblings Clifford Miles, Pearlie Chandler, Mary Newsome, Alice Mims, Jessie Miles Jr. and 11 grandkids and numerous great-grandkids along with many nephews , nieces, and beloved relatives and friends. Dorothy loved her family, and most definitely the Lord. She was a member of Cliff View Church of Christ for many years. She was a funny person with stylish looks, she loved to dress and look good. She also loved to travel and cook for her family.Dorothy was a fine example of love. Dorothy will be missed by many and will remain loved by all that knew her. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cliff View Church of Christ, located at 2424 Simpson Stuart Road, Dallas, Texas, 75241. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Cliff View Church of Christ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
