Dorothy Dudley's Obituary
Dudley, Dorothy L. Succumbed to her battle with breast cancer and Alzheimer’s July 21st, 2009. Dorothy (“Nama” to her family) was born in Louisville, Kentucky, November 27th, 1926. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her parents F. J. and Lela LaLande and her brother Joe. She is survived by her son Steve, granddaughters Laine and Mallory, and their mother, Chris Dudley, as well as many cherished relatives and valued friends and neighbors. Dorothy graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and attended Oklahoma State University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. In Dallas, she was active in women’s activities at Ridgeview Presbyterian church and volunteered at Presbyterian hospital. Sincere thanks to CNC Home Care (especially Patsy Taylor), the nurses and staff at Silverado Senior Living and, finally, Janice Wilkinson for helping to make the last year of her life as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Services on Friday, July 24th at 3:00pm in Abbey Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas. Visitation on Thursday, July 23rd, from 6:00 8:00pm.
