Dorothy Mae Flowers' Obituary
Dorothy Mae Flowers, 92, of Richardson, Texas, was born 6 December 1928, in Kaufman County, Texas, to Ella Lorean "Dollie" Williams and Homer Lee Pleasant. Dorothy passed away on Tuesday, 10 August. Her father died when she was 2 years old and at age 9, Dollie remarried James Aubrey Flowers, who loved Dorothy as his own. She married Robert Allen Flowers on 7 June 1947, in Mabank, Texas. A favorite hobby was gardening. She loved when a passerby would stop and admire it. Her house of 59 years was full of Elvis Presley memorabilia gathered over the years after numerous trips to "Graceland" with her husband of 74 plus years. Dorothy, being an only child, took great pride in her family and almost every wall is covered with photos.
She is survived by husband Robert, 3 children: Beverly Anne Gentle and husband Butch, Robert Michael Flowers and wife Cheryl, Donald Mark Flowers and wife Virginia. 6 grandchildren: John Gentle and wife Eris, Jamison Gentle and wife Ruth, Alexis Lucas and husband Dustin, Steven Flowers and wife Janice, Sean Flowers and wife Natalie, and Logan Flowers. 11 great-grandchildren: Hero, Amariah, Archer, Asher, Aria, Ariel and Asa Gentle; Alivia and Isabelle Lucas; Liam Flowers; and Baby Boy Flowers due January 2022.
