Dorothy Ray "Holley"'s Obituary
Dorothy Ray Holley,82, of Farmer's Branch departed this life on June 11,2021. "Holley" was born August 18,1938 in Corsicana, TX to Roy Edward Holley and Ann E. Mathews Holley. All who knew and loved her called her "Holley."
She graduated valedictorian from Corsicana High School, She earned her Associates Degree from Navarro Junior College. While in college, she was a DeMolay Sweetheart of the Mexia Bi Stone Chapter . President of the college chapter and secretary of the Texas Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America. Secretary of the Navarro Junior College Band. Sophomore Class Favorite and Member of the Curtain Club and Delta Psi Omega (National Dramatic Fraternity)
Holley had a long career with Goodyear and retired after 31 years of service. She married Glenda Sue Moore on March 12, 2015 in Thackerville,
OK. They were married 57 years, before Sue passed in 2017.
Holley enjoyed fishing, dancing, dominoes, trips to her lake house, girls night out and visiting the Farmers Branch animal shelter. She and Sue served the local animal community by generously contributing to an adoption van and the doggie park in Farmer's Branch. She loved and supported all animals, especially cats.
Holley was brave, kind, tenderhearted, unpretentious, caring, approachable and encouraging. She always had time to listen. Holley had a way of making everyone feel special. Her positive attitude got her through some difficult health issues. She kept on smiling and giving it her all!
Holley was predeceased by her parents, her Spouse Sue Moore, Brother-in-Law Ron Moore. She is survived by Nieces Rhonda Hoffman (Curtis) of Carrollton, Pamela Davis (Kristi Sunstrom) of Dallas, Autumn Maloney (Bret) of Flower Mound, Nephew Claye Moore (Donna) of Flower Mound, Sister-In-Law Carol Moore of Arlington, Great nieces and nephew; Emily Hildebrand (Joseph), Thomas Hoffman (Savannah), Amanda Beiser (Logan), Erin Moore, Ashley Moore.

Services; Visitation will be held Thursday 6/24 from 4-6PM at Restland Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be Friday 6/25 at 10AM in Restland's Wildwood Chapel.
