Lucille Hopkins' Obituary
Lucille Hopkins, born on June 16, 1930, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family January 18, 2025. She was 94 years old. Lucille was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Lucille is survived by her three children: David (wife Patty), Paul (wife Missi), and Teresa. She was the proud grandmother of Justin Rhoads (wife Evelin), Travis Rhoads (partner Spencer), Russell Hopkins (wife Ashley), Dyann Hopkins, Tyler Hatzenbuehler (wife Chelsea), and Austin Hatzenbuehler (wife Jordan). Her legacy continues through her eight great-grandchildren: Roslyn and Perry Rhoads, Nora and Ben Hopkins, Marleigh Hopkins and Alexandria Perez, and Nora and Crosby Hatzenbuehler.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alvis Hopkins, with whom she shared a loving and devoted marriage.
She enjoyed a successful career, retiring from Sears Roebuck after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Beyond her work, Lucille was known for her love of dancing, traveling, and creating lasting memories with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met.
Lucille’s family and friends will deeply miss her, but they take comfort in the countless joyful moments she shared with them. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the importance of family.
A celebration of Lucille’s life will be held at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery Dallas, January 22, 2025, at 2 pm.
Her light will continue to shine through the lives of her family and the many cherished memories she leaves behind.
