Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Evans Hind, 73, born November 9, 1943 in Austin, Texas, passed away March 2, 2017 in College Station, Texas. Dottie is preceded in death by her son Gary James Hind Jr. (Jimmy), R.O. and Mary Agnes Evans, Jim Hind, Helen Hind, Denny Hind, Martin Surber, Marty Surber and Denise Surber. Dottie is survived by her loving husband Gary Hind, Michelle Hind Murphy, James, Bridget, Kathlene and Lizzy Murphy, Janice Surber, Peggy Evans, Rusty and Cindy Evans, Steven Evans, Stellas Hess, Bobby Hind, Gina Hind, John and Terri Hind, Vicki Hind Forswall and Numerous nieces and nephews. Dottie was a member of Rainbow, as a Worthy Advisor. She volunteered at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. She was a small business owner in Kerrville, Texas. She was a loving and dedicated military wife. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
