Dorothy Ann Knox's Obituary
Dorothy A Davis Knox was born in Dallas Texas on February 8, 1921. She passed away Saturday November 12, 2022 at home at the age of 101 surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. Merton B Knox; sisters, Grace Powell, Gladys Fortune, Bonnie Smith and brother, Leon Davis Sr.; daughter-in-law Candy Knox, grandson Richard Knox Jr. and son-in-law Dr. Earl Howells.
Dorothy is survived by her five children: Sue and husband Lyle Easterly, Sally Howells, Richard Knox Sr., Cindy and husband James Fuller and Mark and wife Kitty Knox. Eleven grandchildren: Donny and Doug Easterly; Earl, James, Charlie, Mike and William Howells; Jenifer Donlevy, Aimee Marquez, Brooke Rollins and Rick Knox. Sixteen great-grandchildren: Kyle and Mari Easterly; Adrian, Anthony, Arianna, Hayes, Adelyn, Amelia and Juliet Howells; Devin Donlevy; Andrew, Alex and Sofia Marquez; Caroline and Corbin Knox. Two great-great-grandchildren: Teague Easterly and Jasmine Howells. Brother George Davis and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy graduated from North Dallas High School in 1939. Lovingly known as Nana, she always stayed busy and had many interests. She modeled, worked for Western Union and owned a Dress Shop called The Style Shop in Universal City, Texas. She was a wonderful mom, artist, cook and hostess. Dorothy enjoyed painting, pottery, ice curling, sewing and bowling. Dorothy and her husband, Lt. Col. Merton B. Knox and five children traveled all over the United States during his time in the Air Force. They were stationed at several Air Force Bases; Hensley Field, Grand Prairie, Texas; Langley Field in Virginia; Luke Field, Phoenix Arizona; Randolph Field, San Antonio, Texas and Elmendorf Field, Anchorage, Alaska.
Dorothy was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The Church Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00pm in St. Matthias' Anglican Church - 3460 Forest Ln, Dallas, TX 75234.
