Dorothy Mannan LaFoy's Obituary
LAFOY, DOROTHY MANNAN, Born December 5, 1920 in Dallas, TX and passed away on August 23, 2011 in Dallas, TX. Dorothy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Dallas, TX and attended Texas Tech University. She married Joe C. LaFoy, Sr. July 4, 1955 and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She resided at Presbyterian Village North for the past 20 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle Harris Mannan and Lillie Mae (Fisher) Mannan, and husband, Joe C. LaFoy, Sr. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Joe C. LaFoy, Jr. and wife Harriett of New Braunfels, TX, and Jon M. LaFoy and wife Sylvia of Frisco, TX; daughter, Annette Underwood of Hillsboro, TX; grandchildren, Mike LaFoy and wife Traci, Brian LaFoy and wife Jennifer, Karen LaFoy Soeken and husband Aaron, and Ben Underwood; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Law of Dallas, TX. Memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Presbyterian Village North Library, 8600 Skyline Dr., Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Presbyterian Village Foundation Caring Fund.
