Dorothy McAnally grew up in Gladewater, Texas, and married Donald K. Lawrence in 1947. They lived in Austin while Donald was at UT and in Odessa for 9 years before moving to Richardson in 1963, where both daughters graduated from Richardson High School. They treasured the Sun Oil Co. friendships formed over the years, as well as friends and neighbors in Richardson and at Lakeway Estates on Cedar Creek Lake. Dorothy was a member of the First Methodist Church in Richardson, a devoted member of the UT alumni community, an avid UT football fan, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing piano, hosting family and friends, traveling to antique fairs with Don, and, especially, spending time with her four grandchildren.
