Dottie, I will always miss you. It was fun growing up with you. You were always, more or less, the leader. I especially remember one Christmas Eve when Daddy should have won an academy award. You could not sleep, and it was midnight. You were in bed and Daddy pretended to be Santa and carried on a conversation with himself. He told Santa you were asleep and we're good. As soon as he pretended Santa left you bolted out of bed to see what you got. Oh, how we laughed over the years about that Christmas Eve. I am praying for you Dottie. I really enjoyed your visits here to South Dakota and enjoyed seeing you. I know you also liked to visit the Casino too. You will always be in my heart. There will be an emptiness in my heart now and it will not be the same for me and Etta. Please tell Mom and Dad I miss them too and someday we will be together again. Love, Irene

Goodbye Sweet sister , I will miss our good times together. You were always inspirational to me as a child as we were 9 years apart. Doyce and I enjoyed our dinners together with you and David. Our trips to South Dakota to visit our older sister Irene were always great fun. It felt as if were we're little girls again as we would talk all night the 1st evening together. I will see you again. Aunt Dottie, already I miss your sense of humor and the silliness that you and your two sisters enjoyed when you all got together. I loved to be included in the fun, almost as if I were a 4th sister! I wish that we didn't live so far apart in this big world; our visits were too few. You were a class act all the way. I will tuck you inside my heart and always, always love you!

We'll miss you Aunt Dottie. We always enjoyed it when you would visit and when we were able to visit you. We enjoyed your humor, wit and no-holds barred opinions on everything. Yet, there was never a mean bone in your body. I especially enjoyed it when you, Etta and Mom would get together, especially shopping! Watch out! Those Murphy girls were on the prowl. It was amazing when the three of you got together, it was like you were young girls and never apart! You will always hold a special place in my and my family's hearts and will be dearly missed.

Aunt Dottie was one aunt to remember. You never had to guess how she felt. She was such a beautiful lady and I remember visiting her as a child and all through life for dinners, coffee/cake or just to get together and say hi. When you are a young child you do not realize your elders who protect and raise you will leave someday. Time goes by so quick. I will miss you Aunt Dottie.
