Kelly and family, You and your family are in the thoughts and prayers of the Texas Division United Daughters of the Confederacy. I know your Grandmother will be pleased that you wish to carry on with your heritage and remember and honor it because of her. You were truly blessed to have had such a loving and caring Grandmother. God Bless You, Shirley Shirley Woodlock, President The Texas Division UDC
Grandmother, You were truly a kind and caring soul who I remember as always having the softest sweetest laugh and a smile that brightened any room you entered. You are deeply loved and cherished by all who have known you. The times I spent with you were some of my most unforgetable memories as a young girl. The 2-3 week long road trips we took to Galveston Island & New Orleans from Dallas and Tyler. The places and things You & Grandfather showed me, all the Military Bases we visited, getting to see the Fighter Planes Grandfather flew, and all the other places of our Great Country that otherwise, I wouldn't ever been able to see. To this day I smile remembering you saying "Thank You Jesus" every time we found a parking space and sometimes I even catch myself saying it. You have been a Devoted Military Wife and Mother. A Refined Woman that any Daughter and/or Grand Daughter could proudly look up to and also a Friend that will be, without question, missed every day. You were a Genuine "Lady" a True "Southern Belle" who taught my Mother how to be a "Lady". You taught her manners & etiquette which she did her best to pass down to me. My last visit to Texas was for your Birthday, I am so thankful I have those memories to take with me. My only comfort now is knowing that your pain has ended and you are at peace. And also knowing your final resting place is next to my Mother also helps ease my pain. Sadly missed and forever in our hearts. With Love, Your Grand Daughter Kelly
