Dorothy E. Long's Obituary
LONG, DOROTHY E. was born on July 24, 1926 in Dallas, Texas; passed away on March 10, 2010 in Tyler, Texas. Dorothy loved traveling, painting, needle-work as well as many other activities. She also taught her local Sunday school and served as an ambassador, setting up Girl Scout troops for her community. Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Retired Col. Carlton Long, Jr for over 64 years; in addition to Col. Long, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan Mills; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one great-great-granddaughter (Naomi). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Meagan. The family will receive visitors at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow in the Garden of Trinity, Restland Memorial Park, at 3:00 pm Thursday.
