Dorothy Ray McGowan's Obituary
MCGOWAN, DOROTHY RAY born October 19, 1921 in Honey Grove, Texas. She has passed away August 19, 2012 in Longview Texas. She was married to Joe L. McGowan for 53 years, who preceded her in death. She retired after 26 years as a Bookkeeper from the City of Richardson. She has resided at Buckner Westminster Place in Longview, Texas the past 11 years. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Debbie Shimanek and husband Bob; son, Joe McGowan and wife Nora; grandsons, Robby Shimanek and wife Alex, Tommy Shimanek and wife Sarah; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Eden, Hudson, Alek, and Anna. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver Shirley Pinkston, the staff at Buckner Westminster Place, and her doctors with the Diagnostic Clinic of Longview. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday August 23rd at Restland Wildwood Chapel, of Dallas, Texas with Dr. Rick B. Webb officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service.
