Dorothy Lee Miller-Watt's Obituary
MILLER-WATT, DOROTHY LEE was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on December 26, 1932 and died at home in Dallas, TX on December 1, 2013. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Don Miller-Watt; her brother, Mel Peek, and her five children; Jan Beatty, Linda Stine, Steve Miller-Watt, Cathy Schneider, and Susan Wood. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Dorothy grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and lived for a time in Cincinnati, Ohio. She and her husband Don, and children moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1967 and then to Dallas in 1971. Dorothy and Don loved to travel. Their travels took them to many southern states and to Mexico, England, and the Bahamas. Dorothy also enjoyed baking and working on arts and crafts projects. Every year, Don and Dorothy would create new decorations for Christmas, her favorite season. Dorothy was an avid collector of angels and had over 400 in her collection. Her collection was once featured in an interview in the Suburban News of Farmers Branch on December 17, 1980. She was then the president of the North Dallas Newcomers Club. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We rejoice that she is in the presence of our Lord. Service will be held Friday, December 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Restland Abbey Chapel.
