Neiswender, Dorothy Marie's Obituary
Dorothy Marie Neiswender gently passed on August 27, 2024, after a long, happy life of 99 years. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 2, 1925, and at the age of 19 she met the man of her dreams, Harry Kenneth Neiswender. A short time later, they eloped in the middle of the night and were married on October 14, 1944. After many happy years of marriage, they sadly missed their 68th anniversary by six days, due to the passing of our Dad.
Dottie is survived by her son Larry Kenneth Neiswender, (his daughter, Misti Dawn Beach), daughter Paula Sue Slavens (her son, Dr. Jacob Westbrook), daughter Krystal Kay Ford (her son, Louis Christopher Ford and his daughter, Lilian Jo and son Cooper Wyatt).
They were loving, caring, and protective parents. They were both the kind of parents that every child should be blessed with.
Dottie eventually became Nana, not only to her and Papa’s own grandchildren but to many other children. Nana had a daycare in her home where she cared and deeply loved “her babies”. They were treated like family and were a huge part of her life.
Dottie had a great love of Jesus and was a Godsend to anyone needing prayer. She was a giver, of not only love to family and friends but donated hundreds to children overseas, to teenagers living on the streets, rescue animals and Disabled Veterans.
The world has lost a great mother, grandmother, dedicated believer of God, and best friend. What a beautiful reunion as she will once again be with her hubby and our father. God bless you both for eternity. You will be sorely missed and will be forever in our hearts and minds.
