Dorothy L. Parks' Obituary
Born June 1, 1926, went to the Lord and heavenly home on December 19, 2021 to join her husband George Leroy Parks, the love of her life, mother Grace Cory Lovell, father Charles Edward Lovell and many other relatives and friends who proceeded her on the journey. Known to many as Dot, Mom and Nana, she filled a long life with love, pride, joy, support and devotion to her family and unwavering faith and service to the Lord as a devout Christian. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing in the church choir her entire life. Dorothy always had a positive, can-do attitude and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She created a loving and nurturing home for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and each spouse. The sparkle in her eyes, smile on her face, bright spirit, and everlasting love and joy she shared with her beloved family and friends made all feel special. Her love, graciousness, wisdom and friendship will always be in our hearts. She was truly beautiful and special. We cherish all the many wonderful memories and moments with her. Dorothy is survived by sister Janelle Howard, son Larry Parks and daughter Kathie Darcangelo, daughter-in-law Kathy Parks, son-in-law Gary Darcangelo, grandchildren Lisa Zwanziger and husband Frank, Jennifer Gruich and husband Mike, Stephanie Castillo and husband Brian, Aaron Darcangelo and wife Brittany, great-grandchildren Lexie Zwanziger, Xavier and Aiden Underhill, Bryson and Kaylie Castillo, Noah Darcangelo and great-great grandchild Georgia Underhill. Visitation will be December 29 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service honoring Dorothy will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, at Garden of the Cross and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date
