Dorothy Frances Rouget's Obituary
Our beloved Mother, Dorothy Frances Rouget, born May 19, 1926, in Bronx, New York, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 98, just five days shy of her 99th birthday.
Dot, as she was affectionately known, was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Dorothy was third oldest in her family of seven children. As a devoted Catholic, her deep-rooted faith has carried her through life’s tragedies with grace and dignity.
Dorothy is survived in death by her Sister, Kathy Broderick. Children and their Spouses; Laura and Jerry Anderson, Patricia Rouget, Nancy Milligan, Constance Denton, Peter Rouget and Randye Ferrell. Grandchildren and their Spouses; Megan Stamy, Ryan and Natalie Milligan, Kati and Tommy Martinez, Ryley and Chris Klein, Sarah Denton, Julie Denton and Jon Boyer, Taylor Denton. Great grandchildren; Bexley, Brady and Baylor Martinez, Emma Milligan, Blythe Klein, Lucas Herrin Denton, Truli Boyer.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Selwyn Rouget. Children; Jeanne Rouget Stamy, James Rouget and Charles Rouget.
Dorothy grew up in Pelham, New York, graduated high school and enrolled at the Victory Comptometer and Business School out of Mount Vernon, New York in which she graduated in June of 1945. She went on to work in Rockefeller Center at an advertising firm until she met her future husband, Edmund Selwyn (Sully) Rouget. They married and settled in Ardmore Oklahoma where Dorothy started her family. After seven children, they moved to Dallas, Texas where Dorothy had her eighth child. After 27 years of being a proud mother and housewife, she went back to work as the secretary to the Chaplain at the University of Dallas. A position she held in high esteem.
Those that have known Dot through the years will always remember her smile, her sense of humor, her laughter, her inspiration, her bravery and so many other things that we will hold dear to our hearts.
The Funeral Services for Dorothy Frances Rouget will be held at Mary Immaculate Church, 2800 Valwood Pkwy, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. 10:00 a.m Viewing. 10:30 a.m Rosary. 11:00 a.m Funeral Mass. 1:00 p.m the funeral procession to Calvary Hill Cemetary at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220 following services.
There will be a celebration of life following the services at the Knights of Columbus, Farmers Branch from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
