Dorothy Neil Sowards, 87, of Terrell, TX, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Rockwall, TX. Born on January 7, 1938, in Ola, TX, to George and Madge Bush, Dorothy lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family.
On May 28, 1955, Dorothy married the love of her life, Richard Sowards. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless cherished memories. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Beverly Malone and Terry Sowards, and her granddaughter, Misty Sowards. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Sowards; her daughter, Norma Chandler; her seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy's legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on through her family.
