Ms. Dorothy Louise Moss Stephens, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on September 27, 1933 in Ladonia, Texas to Hattie Pearl Smith & Dee Moss.
In life, Dorothy was known for her love of the outdoors, boating, hunting, and shopping. She loved to spend time at the lake with her friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Stephens, Jr.; parents, Hattie & Dee Moss; and brother, Homer Ray Moss.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Suzanne Whatley & husband Joe, and Sandra Lawton & husband Scott; grandchildren, John Jackson & wife Shaylin, Jeff Lawton & wife Samantha, and Jonathan Whatley & wife Rachel; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Lawton, Baylor Jackson, Chandler Jackson, Jude Whatley, & Gage Whatley.
She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
