To Nancy Collns Fisher. I have just learned of the sad loss of your mother. We kept in contact with her for many years since Dorothy (your sister) came to stay with us in England on AFS. I visited you all in Dallas in 1970 and you all came to stay with us in England.
My wonderful mother died in April 2020 (born August 1920). They wrote to each other for many years.

I cherished my relationship with Dee, whom I called “ Mother”. She was a remarkable woman, elegant, well educated, accomplished, always thoughtful and loving. Dallas was blessed by her many civic contributions and I was blessed in having her as a mother-in-law and friend. Good rest her beautiful soul. Richard
As a step daughter, I was very proud to call her my step mother. Dee was a genuine, loving and an extremely generous woman. She exemplified the true meaning of a lady. She carried her beauty, grace, superior intellect and class with ultimate humility. I will never forget her loyalty and kindness. She was truly one of a kind. Her memory will be in my heart forever
Aunt Dee was always a gracious, interesting lady with something valuable to say. A real sweetheart, and I am so thankful she graced my life.
