Dorothy Warrior's Obituary
WARRIOR, DOROTHY JEAN, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and devoted friend was born on March 16, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Willie and Virgie Mae (Ivery) Mitchell. She was the older of two children. She attended elementary school in Terrell, Texas. She later moved to Dallas Texas and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Upon graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, she attended Bishop College. She later became an Executive Administrator for Texas Instruments where she retired in 1992 after 32 years of dedicated service. She united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Melvin Edwin Warrior who preceded her in death. They celebrated 36 years of love and devotion to one another. Since 1965, she was a faithful and active member of Hamilton Park United Methodist Church. She was also an active member at the Willie B. Johnson Recreation Center and did volunteer work for the Hamilton Park Community. She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Patrice Renee’ Warrior, V. Gail Warrior-Lawrence (Wayne) and Mark Edwin Warrior (Jessica); a grandson, Corey A. Lawrence; a sister, Willie Mae Martin; a niece Jacquelyn Ogbonna; a nephew, Ronald Martin and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Hamilton Park United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 2nd from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The memorial service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, January 3rd at 11:00am. Hamilton Park UMC, 11881 Schroeder Rd, Dallas, TX 75243.
