Dorothy Jeane Wicks-Cooksey's Obituary
Dorothy “Doss C” Jeane Wicks-Cooksey was born October 26, 1929, in Temple, Texas and passed away on May 7, 2017, in Royse City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Worden Cooksey; father, John Wicks, mother, Mary Monroe and brother, Billy Wicks. She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Beth Ray and Johnnie Lynn Raymond ; son, John Cooksey and wife, Kerry; daughter, Laura Rickertson; granddaughters, Jennifer McDaniel, Laura Michelle Kirby and husband, Brady, Sara Simons and fiance Casey Cross; grandson, Taylor Cooksey; great-grandchildren, Victoria Nelson, Kellan Kirby and Campbell Kirby. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service starting at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Rowlett, Children’s Department. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
