I will always remember Mrs. Dorothy by her smile. She was very feisty, outspoken yet one of the nicest and sincere ladies I have known. I have several good stories to think of when it comes to Mrs. Dorothy including our first meeting over 11 years ago. She hated for me to call her Mrs. Dorothy. I told her I was raised that way but she wanted me to just call her Dorothy. (Not happening Mrs. Dorothy) How will I know what?s going on in the neighborhood now? I could always call Mrs. Dorothy. If she didn?t know she would by the end of the day. We would get on the phone and talk for hours and then look at the time and wonder how we had been on the phone so long. I had not seen her out in the last few years as much. But I got the chance to see her a couple of weeks before her passing. We talked about my new puppy and neighborhood issues. I know she didn?t talk as long outside because she tired quickly. However, when she got back home my phone rang and we finished talking about the puppy and other things. I?m happy to have had that time to speak with her. Her presence will always be here for me as long as I live on Las Lomas Drive. I miss the friendship already.
