Dorothy Ruth Wilson's Obituary
WILSON, DOROTHY RUTH formerly of Dallas, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2012 at St. Catherine’s Center in Waco, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Larry Davis officiating. Mrs. Wilson was born May 1, 1922 in Dallas, Texas to Oscar and Ollie Sizemore. She joined the Marines in February of 1945 and was honorably discharged in April of 1946. She married the love of her life, C J Wilson, on February 18, 1946 and they shared 66 wonderful years together. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was a member of the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco and a former member at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and all of her siblings: four brothers, Lawrence, Marvin, Roy and Glen, and her sister, Lois. Dorothy is survived by her husband, CJ of Waco; daughter, Ruth Ann and her husband, Tom of McGregor, and their sons, Brad and Blake; her beloved niece, Barbara and her husband, Mike of Garland, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers on the 3rd floor of St. Catherine Center and Providence Hospice for their compassion and service to her.
