Dorothy Ann Zuck's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Blythe Zuck went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2008. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Dr. Roy B. Zuck; their daughter Barbara Hanes and son-in-law Gregory Hanes, of West Monroe, Louisiana; their son Kenneth Zuck and daughter-in-law Kimberly Zuck of Allen, Texas; three grandchildren in Louisiana: Jason Hanes, Jennifer Wise, and Allison Hanes; three grandchildren in Allen, TX: Audrey Zuck, Ethan Zuck, and Alden Zuck; two greatgrandsons,Dakota Wise and Ayden Wise of Louisiana; her sister Virginia Sorensen and brother-inlaw Rev. Keith Sorensen, of Denver; and 11 nephews and one niece. Dottie was born on May 9,1931, in Springfield, Missouri, to T. Roger Blythe and Harriette Steele Blythe. Dottie attended Biola Bible College, Los Angeles, where she met and later married fellow student Roy Zuck on July 24, 1954, who joined the faculty of Dallas Seminary in 1973.Dottie loved to travel overseas with her husband in his ministry. She was an active, creative woman,involved in ministering in various ways to Seminary wives and women of her local church. She loved to encourage others, often quoting 1 Corinthians 15:58,”Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” Her family and friends rejoice that her work for the Lord, which is now finished,was certainly not in vain. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30,from 6 – 8 pm. Service will be on Wednesday, October 1, at 2:00 pm at Redemer Bible Church, 721 Easton Rd. Dallas, TX. Memorial gifts may be sent to Dallas Theological Seminary.
